Since getting together more than 10 years ago, The Dardanelles have become one of the most exciting traditional bands to ever come out of Newfoundland and Labrador. This set was recorded during the Old Souls concert at Inverness Education Centre/Academy on October 18, 2019 during Celtic Colours International Festival.

Accordion player Aaron Collis learned these traditional tunes from Brendan (Bren) Newman, a 90-year-old accordion player in Boyd’s Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador. The names of the individual tunes may have been lost to time, but the music lives on in the lively medley now known as “Boyd’s Cove Singles”.
