2014 Nissan Maxima - Outside Mirror Adjustments

To make adjustments to the outside mirrors, move this switch sideways to select either the left or the right mirror. Then use this larger switch to the left, to adjust each mirror to the desired position. When you have the mirrors positioned properly, put this switch on its center, neutral position. You'll thus avoid accidentally changing the mirror positions.

The Reverse Tilt-Down feature, if so equipped, will turn both outside mirrors downward. This will provide better rear visibility closer to the vehicle. First, turn the ignition ON. Then flip the mirror control switch to the left or right position. Then, when you put the vehicle in REVERSE, the mirrors will point closer to the ground.

There are three ways to return the mirrors to the normal position. First, if you shift out of REVERSE; second, if you put the mirror control switch in the center position; and finally, if the ignition is turned OFF.

Your vehicle's outside mirrors can be folded in. Simply pull the mirrors toward the door to fold in.

Your vehicle may be equipped with a driver's side automatic anti-glare outside mirror. This feature will activate when you turn ON the automatic anti-glare rearview mirror. When you turn OFF the anti-glare rearview mirror, both the outside mirror and the rearview mirror's anti-glare feature will turn OFF. If your vehicle is equipped with heated outside mirrors, the REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER button will automatically heat your outside mirrors when activated.
