Extending Zephyr Based Applications at Runtime with LLEXT - Tom Burdick, Intel

Extending or modifying behavior at runtime allows for plugin and application like functionality to be incorporated into Zephyr applications. LLEXT is a new subsystem in Zephyr that provides the ability to load and link elf files at runtime and thus extend Zephyr based firmware. A walk through how the ELF loading works and how it may be used today and in the future to dynamically change runtime behavior.
