Built in 1926, the hotel was designed with pocket gardens in keeping with the plans of the city's designers, the Burley-Griffins. During World War 2, it was mostly used by labour politicians. After the war, it was used by former Prime Minister Ben Chifley.

Today, the hotel still maintains its serene, classy and beautiful garden atmosphere, inviting guests to experience a slice of history. In this video, you'll get a brief but comprehensive overview of the Hotel Kurrajong from the time it was built, to the present day.
