These are some Tea Tree Shampoo Bars I made for a custom order. Since they were ready for stamping when I had all my recording equipment set up, I figured I would share how I do my stamping with you guys!

I use many different kinds of stamps, including regular rubber stamps, clear scrapbooking stamps, this style and more.

In the video, you can see me using a pink spray bottle, and I mention spritzing. In the pink bottle is 91% Isopropyl Alcohol, which is my secret to my stamps coming out as clean as they do.

I make sure to keep a fine layer of alcohol on the soap, as a buffer between the stamp and the soap. This is what allows for a clean release.

In between stamps, I make sure to clean any gummy residue off of the stamp with the spray bottle as well, the force of the spray is helpful in tight spaces.

I generally stamp 6-8 bars at a time and then clean my stamp well with hot water and a toothbrush before the next set. I personally use a denture brush, as the bristles are longer and much stronger than typical toothbrushes.

Since the alcohol evaporates so quickly, I generally just set the bars up to dry, but if they are dripping alcohol, set on a paper towel to help it wick away.

Now, when do I stamp?
For cold process soaps, usually 10-14 days after cut/unmold.
For hot process, I cut as soon as I can (hoping the soap is still slightly warm inside) and stamp immediately. I have found the best way to be cut a bar, stamp it, cut the next, and stamp on the fresh-cut sides.
