VW T5 Timing belt change 2.0 TDI

Описание к видео VW T5 Timing belt change 2.0 TDI

Hi guys,

In this video I replace the timing belt on a 2011 VW T5 2.0 TDI.

The engine code on this van is CAAB. So other engines may differ in procedure. I advise looking through a workshop manual for specific engines.

Tools required:
•17mm socket
•Breaker bar
•Jack
•Axle stands
•Pic
•Hose clamp pliers
•Ratchet
•Extensions
•10mm socket
•Flathead screwdriver
•16mm socket
•18mm socket
•16 mm spanner
•Offset 19mm spanner
•Multispline m10
•Prybar
• 19mm 12 sided socket
•8mm Allen key
•15 mm spanner
•13mm socket
•Torque wrench
• Timing tools

Optional:
•Impact gun
• Lift
•Battery ratchet

I advise checking torque setting and filling quantities before. It is important that all bolts are tightened correctly because if not it could cause damage to the car or an accident. Also, with some bolts they are torque to yield which should be replaced so be careful if reusing bolts as they can snap.

This video is a guide on how to carry out the task and does not guarantee the result. It is recommended that a skilled technician carry’s out work on vehicles to ensure for best results.

I hope this video helps.
