Three decades ago, teachers delivered lectures and students took
notes. Today, students live in an interactive visual world and tap a screen to force change on any scene that is not interrupted
by its own fast pace or intrusive commercial content. Educators must enter into this world to make information noticeable--but
nobody learns without adequate mental elaboration and physical manipulation. Students need live, in-person social interaction
for healthy development and future community functioning. This presentation introduces several easily-mastered ways to
digitize course content alongside several unique and entertaining ways to promote live interaction between students. The
balance of digital versus "old school" choices will be presented as a repertoire from which the instructor may select tools.
