India-China LAC standoff: China forced to disengage, Has govt silenced doubters?

Tensions between India and China were heightened after 20 Indian Army jawans were martyred in an attack by the Chinese soldiers in Galwan Valley on June 15.

The Indian and Chinese armies have arrived at a “mutual consensus” to "disengage" from all friction points in eastern Ladakh, according to reports.

Disengagement will be slow but step by step process which means that pulling out of troops will be in an incremental manner. The working mechanism meeting tomorrow is expected to lead to more clarity on the issue. The disengagement will be from all areas.
