A Grassroots splitsurfer is an absolute game changer when it comes to accessing the biggest and best white waves the snow covered mountains have to offer. Easily the most efficient man powered way to get the most out of a day in the backcountry.
We have been handcrafting these boards since 2008 and in the past 10 years have been manufacturing and building our own ascent bindings that work with any size and any type of boot. Our ultralight ascent bindings weigh about 670 grams and fold to the size of a paper back book to fit easily in any pack.
These split powsurfers feature a full 3-dimensional base as well as a 3-dimensional hand built traction system giving you the best control possible on a binding-free powsurfer. Performance in surf mode is up to par with our solid boards and of course the uphill travel will have you deeper into the backcountry into deeper and more untouched terrain.
