Alejandro Escovedo - Live from Birmingham | Subcarrier

Coming out of a highly notable musical family (including sister Shelia E.), he has explored countless genres and styles of rock music, over a career spanning nearly 40 years. His most recent album, Burn Something Beautiful, was written with Scott McCaughey of The Minus 5 and Peter Buck from R.E.M., and they both appear with him onstage in this episode.

Subcarrier is the continuation of WE HAVE SIGNAL, a project active from 2008 until 2015 when the world-famous venue BottleTree closed.
