5 Common Freelance Design Mistakes:
One: Working Without A Contract. Working without a contract can lead to some major issues, so implementing one into your workflow will protect you from any issues that can arise.

Two: Neglecting a brief. You need to be as precise as possible without your clients to gather details to do your job effectively. Keep vague words to a minimum, and ask for direct examples and explanations before starting any work.

Three: Overworking & Burnout. It can be tempting to take any and every job when you first start out as a freelancer, but it's important to maintain a healthy work - life balance so that you don't feel burnt out, which can lead to some major issues.

Four: Poor Portfolio Work. You might be tempted to only show one or two pieces of work and let them sit for a long time. But clients are always looking for fresh designs and relevant designs to their general niche. So always nurture your portfolio.

Five: Charing Too Low. It is also tempting to make your prices low so that you can compete with others and win the project. However, what this does it cause you to take on more jobs than you can handle, since you can't afford to live off of one small project. So you need to do some research and also base your price off of value.
