Kishore Kumar (born Abhas Kumar Ganguly 4 August 1929 – 13 October 1987) was an Indian playback singer, musician and actor. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest, most influential and dynamic singers in the history of modern Indian music. Kumar was one of the most popular singers in the Indian subcontinent, notable for his yodelling and ability to sing songs in different voices. He used to sing in different genres but some of his rare compositions, considered classics, were lost in time.In 2013, Kumar was voted "The Most Popular Male Playback Singer" in a poll conducted by the Filmfare magazine.

This video points out to an incident when Kishore Kumar was fairly new to playback singing and had to sing alongside Rafi ji . He was little Nervous as that time Rafi ji use to rule the playback singing. Incidentally RD Burman was the music director and he told Kishore Da to see how Rafi ji was singing this song . Kishore da got irritated by his constantly reminding him about Rafi ji and even walked out ! finally RD Burman allowed his his space and then Kishore Kumar sang the song brilliantly and this song became even more popular than expected . That was the first incident when the music world finally took him seriously and then after the release of Film Aaradhna in 1969 , there was no looking back for Kishore Kumar .
