Il Monte Lemerle è ricordato per le sue numerose battaglie combattute durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale dagli italiani per contrastare l’ascesa degli austriaci; in particolare della 34^ Divisione austro-ungarica, la famosa unità del Banato di Temesvar, tra il maggio e il giugno del 1916 (La Stafexpedition)

Mount Lemerle is remembered for its numerous battles fought during the First World War by the Italians to counter the rise of the Austrians; in particular of the 34th Austro-Hungarian Division, the famous unit of the Banat of Temesvar, between May and June 1916 (The Stafexpedition)
