Indra Jatra is the most exciting and biggest street festival in Kathmandu which falls in September. This festival is most commonly known as “Yenya”, which means "Celebration inside Kathmandu" in Nepal Bhasa. Indra Jatra festival is celebrated for seven days long mainly in the Kathmandu Durbar square area. on the day, the god Ganesh, Goddess Bhairab, and Kumari were worshipped and the Lakhe dance is performed by the Newari community. Today is special Indra Jatra day which was celebrated by representing the Prime minister, President, Mayar Balen, Sunita, and many other national and international guests.
