Peperomia pellucida, also known as shiny bush, pepper elder, shining bush plant, and locally as sirih cina, ketumpangan air, tumpang angin, or căo h jao, is an annual, shallow-rooted herb characterized by succulent stems, shiny, heart-shaped, fleshy leaves, and tiny, dot-like seeds attached to several fruiting spikes. When crushed, it emits a mustard-like odor.
