Die Höchste Eisenbahn - Lisbeth - CARDINAL SESSIONS (Haldern Pop Special)

Die Höchste Eisenbahn is a german band formed in 2011 consisting of four brillant and experienced musicians. They have released two LP’s and an EP, the latest record came out in 2016 called „Wer bringt mich jetzt zu den anderen“. We’ve met the band at 2017’s Haldern Pop Festival, decided to record on the very same spot where we also recorded Conor Oberst three years earlier.

What makes the band so beautiful to us is the honesty in their songwriting, the clever lyrics, the beautiful melodies. It’s interesting to notice how they don’t seem to have any pressure, everything feels very lighthearted but still serious. It’s hard to put in words. The two songs we recorded are called „Lisbeth“ and „Woher Denn“, the second one accompanied by a choir consisting of some friends and some band members of Faber and AnnenMayKantereit.
