Mantralayam is a holy town in Andhra Pradesh, India, known for being the site of the samadhi of the 17th century saint Raghavendra Tirtha: 

Location

Mantralayam is a pilgrim village in the Kurnool district, on the banks of the Tungabhadra River, and on the border of Karnataka. It's about 74 km from Kurnool and 250 km from Hyderabad. 

Known for

Mantralayam is home to the jeeva samadhi of Sri Raghavendra Swamy, a Madhwa saint who is believed to have chosen to be enshrined alive in a meditative state in front of his disciples. 

Attractions

The main attraction in Mantralayam is the temple and mutt complex, which includes the Brindavanam, the center point of the town. The temple elephants and chariots carrying the deity around the temple on special occasions are a spectacular sight.
