Sonic the Hedgehog is one of those games that I've spent my entire lifetime playing, so here's some gameplay footage of me beating the game from beginning to end— only instead of capturing the footage directly, I've recorded the entire playthrough on my classic 1980s RCA console television!

I am by no means perfect at this game and it's been a while since I've actually played Sonic 1 completely all the way through, however I'm still quite satisfied with my run here. While I do take a few hits during the course of the run, I do manage to complete the game without a single death and with collecting all of the chaos emeralds! Hopefully you can feel the same anxiety I was feeling during those special stages, gosh I can't stand the rotating mazes in this game.

The television featured in this video is my RCA Colortrak 2000 G26339HP CRT which was manufactured in September 1988. The signal is being fed to the television via composite video from a VA3 revision Model 1 SEGA Genesis, the gameplay audio heard in this video was captured directly from the headphone output on the Genesis.

I did also finally solved that continuing issue with DaVinci Resolve crashing on my computer whenever I attempted to import 60fps clips into the software, so thankfully I did manage to export this out at its correct framerate!

Also since Daisy failed to make an appearance during the course of this video, I included her in the thumbnail. Hopefully her cameo there counts towards me sneaking her into everything I produce for YouTube.
