His Excellency, Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi, says Raiply Malawi Limited is helping the country realize Vision Malawi 2063 Agenda in a practical way.

Chakwera made the remarks at Raiply offices in Mzimba District on Monday, where he toured the company to appreciate various works and process that takes place at the company.

Raiply Malawi Limited is a company that manufactures timber based products from Viphya Forest Reserve as a concessioner. The company is a leading manufaturer of quality Medium Density Fibre (MDF) boards in Central and South Africa.

Speaking to the media after the tour, President Chakwera said he is very much impressed with the investment that is being made at the institution.

In his remarks, the Malawi leader said the company which is into exportation wood products has the potential to help the country realize Vision Malawi 2063 agenda

"We are talking about manufacturing, value addition and provision of employment. This is what is happening here. When you look at what they are able to produce. High quality standards and able to export to South Africa and producing boards that are treated well," added the President. "They are helping Malawi realize Vision Malawi 2063 in a practical way."

During the visit, President Chakwera first toured Chauteka Tree Nursery, where officials of the company briefed on tree planting procedure and challenges being faced. Soon thereafter, President Chakwera inspected a Pine tree that was planted by Malawi's first President late Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.

From the nursery, President Chakwera proceeded to Raiply Factory Premises in Chikangawa where he toured Pole Treatment Plant, Plymill, and Medium Density Fibre (MDF) Board Plant. Later, President Chakwera planted a tree before signing the visitor's book.

Accompanied by First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera, the Malawi leader was welcomed on arrival by Vice President and Minister of Natural Resources and Climate Change Dr.Micheal Bizwick Usi, and several top government officials.
