When I first started learning English, I thought sounding like a native speaker was the ultimate goal. I obsessed over my pronunciation, felt bad over every small mistake, and felt embarrassed every time someone commented on my accent...

Fast forward a few years later, when I started my online teaching business, I fell into the same trap - this time - while creating content for you guys.

Trying to sound like a native isn’t empowering. It’s exhausting. It’s impossible. And it keeps you stuck in a cycle of insecurity.

The language learning market is FULL of creators feeding you fear. The subtle messages in that type of content are:

Mistakes are bad.
You'll never be enough.
You are not perfect, if you don't speak like a native.
You are fluent ONLY if you speak advanced English...
etc.

I am no longer a part of that.
