FAQ: The original reason I went with the KMiata Getrag 260 kit over the ZF kit was so I could keep the Miata differential, since the Getrag 5-Speed has wider ratios. Now that I'm swapping over to the V8Roadsters Getrag G80 differential, with much taller ratios available (down to 3.23), I wanted to get the ZF 5-speed in there since it's newer, stronger, and shifts better. I went with the 5-Speed over the 6-Speed due to the mounting being easier, the transmission is lighter, much easier to find, and about 1/4 the cost.
