This 3D animation, produced by a third party, provides an overview of the route of the future Lac Mégantic rail bypass, which will go through the municipalities of Nantes, Lac-Mégantic, and Frontenac.

The route begins in Nantes, at 1 min 05 s, near the roundabout of Routes 161 and 263 and Laval Street. It crosses and runs along Route 161, and also crosses the 10e Rang. As it reaches 10e Rang, an image in the video at 1 min 30 s shows a railroad crossing. The route then goes to Pie-XI Street, where an image in the video at 1 min 54 s shows a pedestrian tunnel. The route then crosses Pie-XI Street, and goes up to the industrial park of Lac-Mégantic. Before reaching the industrial park, we can see a railroad spur that connects to two rail yards in the industrial park.

The route continues along Route 161, passing through the industrial park, until it reaches Villeneuve Street. Before arriving at Villeneuve Street, an image in the video, at 2 min 31 s shows the railway bridge above. The route then crosses a bridge that will be built over Villeneuve Street, the Chaudière River and Wolfe Street in Frontenac. The route continues along Route 161 to Salaberry Street, near the intersection of Routes 204 and 261. Before crossing Salaberry Street, an image in the video at 3 min 25 s shows an overpass over the railroad track. The road ends when it meets the existing railroad track at Frontenac.
