안녕하세요, 쎼옹입니다.

이번 영상은 서울 홍제동에 있는 개미마을에 다녀온 영상입니다.

예전에는 예쁜 벽화마을로 알려지면서 많은 사람들이 사진을 찍으러 가는 곳이었습니다.

동호회에서 대표 출사지로 꽤나 유명하던 곳이었습니다.

달동네에 대한 복지차원에서 벽화들이 곳곳에 많이 그려졌는데 그중에 개미마을이 잘 알려졌던겁니다.

어느덧 시간은 지나 예쁘게만 남아있을것 같던 벽화들도 색이 바래거나 벽면이 떨어지면서 사라진 것도 있습니다.



벽화로 유명해지면서 마을에 어떤 좋은점이 있었을까 생각해 봤지만

딱히 떠오르는 장점은 없는것 같습니다.

찾아오는 사람은 구경하고 사진찍고 끝이지만 그곳에 사는 사람들은 그닥 이익보는게 없겠구나 싶더군요.


여기저기 검색해보니 개미마을은 한국전쟁 이후 피난민들이 모여 생겼다는 이야기와

60년대 철거민들이 들어와 생겼다는 이야기가 있습니다.

또 강제이주의 흔적이 있지 않아 사람들이 알음알음 조금씩 들어와 생긴 동네라고 보는 시점도 있습니다.


개미마을도 오래된 달동네다 보니 재개발 이야기가 예전부터 나오고 있습니다.

이곳도 곧 사라지려나 봅니다.

This video is from a visit to Gaemi Village in Hongje-dong, Seoul.

In the past, it was known as a pretty mural village and was a place where many people went to take pictures.

It was a fairly famous place among the club’s representative photo shoots.

As a welfare measure for Daldongne, many murals were painted here and there, and Gaemi Village was well known among them.

Time has passed and some murals that seemed to remain pretty have disappeared as the colors have faded or the walls have fallen off.



I wondered if there were any good things about the town as it became famous for its murals.

There doesn't seem to be any advantage that comes to mind.

People who come here just look around and take pictures, but I don't think the people who live there will benefit much.


I searched here and there and found that Gaemi Village was formed by refugees gathering after the Korean War.

There is a story that it was created by evictees who moved in in the 1960s.

Also, there are no traces of forced migration, so there is a point in time when people see it as a neighborhood that came into existence little by little.


Gaemi Village is also an old village, so there has been talk of redevelopment for a long time.

It looks like this place will disappear soon too.
