Hey Flower Tribe, It’s Kelly Lehman from Cranbury Fields Flower Farm in Cranbury NJ and today I want to give you some gardening tips on how to plant tulip bulbs in the fall so you have beautiful spring flowers in your garden.

Autumn is the best time to plant these tulip bulbs in your garden after night time temps have cooled off to about 40-50 degrees. I love seeing beautiful brightly colored tulips in gardens and front landscaping design and backyard landscaping design. They are a super addition to your garden or landscaping design .

Plant them pointy side up just as you would plant a tulip and root side down . Allium bulbs are planted the same way. The planting depth of the tulip bulb should be 2-3 times the size of the bulb. You can sprinkle a light layer of mulch over the top to keep the moisture from rain available to them as they are tucked in the ground for winter.
