I had always dreamt of visiting the world-famous Maya Bay Beach in Phi Phi Islands, Thailand — one of the most stunning beaches on Earth. But sometimes travel doesn’t go as planned. On this trip, heavy monsoon rains completely spoiled my dream of visiting Maya Bay.

The weather turned rough, the sea was wild, and the boats to Maya Bay were cancelled. 🌊 Instead of enjoying the crystal-clear turquoise waters, I had to stay in my hotel at Phi Phi and explore the island on foot during the rain.

But as every traveler knows — every situation has its own charm. I walked through the rain-soaked streets of Phi Phi, explored local corners, tried food, and captured how the island looks in the monsoon season.
