3- Ngoni Tutorial: An te wa dunya, intermediate level, Wassolou ngoni

Описание к видео 3- Ngoni Tutorial: An te wa dunya, intermediate level, Wassolou ngoni

One of the oldest kamelengoni grooves. Wassolon is the birthplace of kamelenogni as well as the culture of the djembe. This is the traditional style which is still very much in use in Mali with international artists such as Oumou Sangaré.

The rhythmic approach is possibly a little more complicated than the Bobo style that Westerners generally study, but it is also a gold mine of knowledge for lovers of African rhythms and grooves in general. I added the interpretation of the song by Issa Diallo at the end of the course.

For those who would be interested in a more in-depth study of the instrument, I have produced so far 22 videos with an average length of 90 minutes. This includes beginner courses in the Bobo, Bambara and Mandingo styles, but also many specialist courses in traditional Wassolon ngoni. You can contact me directly by mail for the details.

Credits for the song:

Lead vocal /bass ngoni: Issa Diallo
Solo ngoni: Issa Sidibe
Carignan: Benioro Djakite
Lessons and production: Alex Wielemans
