Thomastik-Infeld Plectrum Bronze Acoustic Strings

Описание к видео Thomastik-Infeld Plectrum Bronze Acoustic Strings

I've fitted these unusual strings to my Norman B18 CW Cedar acoustic further to watching a video by Joe Gore over at tonefiend.com

He pointed out how much he likes the sound, but that these are expensive strings, two statements I would now agree with.

The plain strings are made of brass coated steel, the wound strings have a silk inlay in combination with a highly flexible steel core.
The A, D, and G strings are polished bronze flatwound, whereas the low E is a polished bronze roundwound. The gauges used here are: .059 / .044 / .033 / .024 / .015 / .012

In this video the guitar is usually one semitone below standard tuning (unless otherwise indicated), and is played in a number of different ways. The audio is captured the same way throughout: a direct signal from the guitar (a Fishman 4T piezo and preamp, as well as a soundhole magnetic pickup), plus a SE1a small-diaphragm condenser aimed at the 12th fret - both these go into a Focusrite iTrack Solo. EQ on the guitar was flat throughout; nothing was done to alter the sound during recording, or in post-production.
