DAVID BERKOWITZ - SON OF SAM

In June 1978, Berkowitz was sentenced to 365 years in prison after pleading guilty to the murders of Donna Lauria, Christine Freund, Virginia Voskerichian, Valentina Suriani, and Alexander Esau y Moskowitz, plus seven counts of attempted murder.

At that time, he claimed that he had been compelled by a demonic force that communicated its mortal demands through a black Labrador named Harvey, who belonged to his neighbor Sam Carr.

Although new clues would soon shed a different light on how and why those murders were organized.
