This is a time lapse (2 frames per minute) of the bioluminescent organism, Pyrocystis fusiformis, showing the cytoplasmic streaming of the photosynthetic organelles moving to the center of the cells as the organism transitions to the bioluminescent dark phase. The higher magnification section also shows streaming near the nucleus on the bottom right. I've just finished a project for Magical Microbes   / magicalmicrobes   . You can see the amazing BioGlo aquarium featuring bioluminescent Pyrocystis fusiformis. The project included product stills, 4K video, microscopy and timelapse.
