hi y’all i thought i’d try something different this week & give you guys some beginner guitar tips that i have picked up over the years. i’ve played guitar for about 12 years & in the beginning, i HATED bar chords because my fingers were so small. learning how to play bar chords on guitar with small hands can be very discouraging, but i’m going to show you some easy bar chord cheats.

i used these alternate beginner chords for bar chords for my first ten years of playing. i am also going to show you how i used my capo to learn all of my favorite songs while avoiding bar chords lol. these are the chords i will be teaching y’all how to cheat your way through:
