alastor is BLACK?? | hazbin hotel redesign + commentary!

hi! welcome to my first youtube video!! it’s a little rough at times but i’m overall proud of it :’)

i understand that this is a very touchy subject. i said this at multiple points in my video, but i’ll say it here for those who don’t watch that far:

this video is mainly trying to answer the reason for the backlash against Alastor’s design/confirmed race. as a mixed black person myself, i definitely understand the nuances of being mixed and how that affects someone’s identity. in no way do i think there is ONE black experience or ONE black look. this was more-so an exercise in character design!

my next video definitely won’t cover such a heavy topic haha. thank you so much for watching!!
