In this video, I show you my favorite Fish Biriyani recipe in tamil! This is a Muslim style fish biriyani and this is my mother's recipe which she had perfected over the years. In tamil, it is know widely as பாய் வீட்டு மீன் பிரியாணி, பாய் means Muslim guy and it is very famous in muslim households. This fish biriyani recipe is slightly different from chicken or mutton biriyani as we add some extra ingredients and method is also slightly different in this muslim style fish biriyani. Ingredients

Marinade
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp (Freshly grounded)
Chilli powder - 1.5 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

For Coarse Paste
Tomato - 1/2
Green chilli - 2
Coriander and Mint - few

For Almond Paste
20 almonds (Soaked, Skin removed)

Biriyani
Seer (Vanjiram) Fish - 500 gms (Cut into big cubes/chunks)
Basmathi rice - 450 gms
Onions - 3 big (sliced)
Tomatoes - 3 medium sized tomatoes (sliced)
Curd - 1/2 cup
Chilli powder - 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp (Freshly grounded)
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 50 ml
Ghee - 25 ml
Whole spices (Cloves - 10-12, Cinnamon - 1 inch stick, Cardamom - 2-3 small (if big, 1 only))
Green chilli - 6
Coriander and Mint - few
Salt to taste
