Travelling during this pandemic time can be stressful, tiring, costly and time-consuming (quarantine).
But what about travelling with all of this plus 2 kids and not to mention the number of hours and connecting flights needed to bear to arrive on your very dream destination.

On this video, we want to share with you how we went thru all of this stuff so that we can spent our Christmas and New Year with our families in the Philippines.
This will be the first time our families will see our daughter, Allison, in person and Thirdy after 3 years.

We travelled with Cathay Pacific and the flight were:
• Frankfurt - Heathrow, London (via British Airways)
• Heathrow, London – HKIA, Hongkong
• HKIA, Hongkong - NAIA Terminal 3, Manila

Below are all the documents we prepared for our travel.
Plane Ticket
Passports
Passenger Locator Form (requirement for travellers going to or just transiting to UK - Fill in your passenger locator form - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk))
One Health Pass
Negative RT-PCR Test Result
ICV (International Certificate of Vaccination) (Yellow Booklet)
Covid Vaccination Certificate (If available)
OFW Card / E-Card (Screenshot / Print-Out)
OWWA Active Membership
Letter to ALL Airlines from Philppine Embassy in Germany (Applicable for OFW only for Hotel Booking)
Traze APP (screenshot QR Code)

We went thru 4 airports and 2 of them for our connecting flights and we will describe what happens in each Check-in/Boarding/Flight:

FRANKFURT AIRPORT
Frankfurt, Germany TO Heathrow, London (via British Airways)
*In this Check-In counter, they only gave us the Boarding Pass going to London and not our whole flight.
*They specially check Passenger Locator Form for UK flights
*Flight was delayed due to weather, it was snowing during our flight
*Plane was not full with passengers (70-80 % Full)

Heathrow, London TO HKIA, Hongkong
*In this Check-In counter, they gave us the remaining Boarding Pass going to Hongkong and Manila
*They checked all our documents mentioned above
*We needed to change terminal (T5 to T3) by riding bus and it will take time as the sched of bus is every ~15 - 20 mins during our time
*We needed to walk very far as our Gate is at the very end Gate 1
*Plane was full of passengers. (95-100 %)

HKIA, Hongkong TO NAIA Terminal 3, Manila
*In this Check-In counter, they only asked for our passports and boarding pass
*During the flight, they will give you Arrival Card Form to be given at Immigration at NAIA Terminal 3 Airport
*Plane was not full (30-40 %)

NAIA Terminal 3, Manila Processing
Going out the plane, we were directed by Philippine Coast Guard of next station:
1. Immigration Gate
o Passport
o Arrival Card Form

2. Bureau of Quarantine Desk
o OneHealthPass (OHP)
o RT-PCR Negative Test
o OFW Card / E-Card (Screenshot / Print-Out)
o ICV (International Certificate of Vaccination) (Yellow Booklet)
o Covid Vaccination Certificate (If available)
o OWWA Active Membership (mine was on APP / print-out)

*BOQ Officer gave us OWWA form containing our names and OSS number (OHP) to be given to OWWA after checking all our documents.
*We requested to be in one room for quarantine so the BOQ Officer instructed us to go to BOQ Doctor on duty on another desk to give us a letter of recommendation to be given to OWWA for Hotel assignment.
*The BOQ Doctor asked for same documents above specially the vaccination documents to identify the length of our quarantine days and then gave us this letter of recommendation for “room sharing”.

3. OWWA

o OFW Card / E-Card (Screenshot / Print-Out)
o ICV (International Certificate of Vaccination) (Yellow Booklet)
o Covid Vaccination Certificate (If available)
o Letter of Recommendation for “Room Sharing” from BOQ Doctor
o OWWA form from BOQ Officer

*OWWA officer gave us OWWA Booklet where our assigned hotel was written in front page after securing our documents were correct and valid.

4. Luggage Collection
*Since we were the last ones on our batch to complete the processing, our luggage where already out of the belt and some airport officers were there to help get our luggage to the trolley.

5. Bus to Hotel Assignment
*After getting our luggage, PCG officers were instructing us to go to the bus which will bring us to our hotel quarantine assignment.
*There are OWWA officers in the terminal to help identify the bus weneed to get in and also help to put all our luggage inside the bus.
*Inside the bus, the driver was offering SIM Card, adapter and during our trip, money exchanger for Philippine Peso bill.

6. Hotel
*OWWA Officers / House Parent gave form for documentation, conduct hotel quarantine policies orientation, do’s and don’ts, assigned room per guest; as per our case,
*They informed us of policy of room sharing.
*They guided us to our rooms and our luggage were at our room

After all of these, QUARANTINE STARTS!
