Shiny Makuhita finally appeared after 17598 random encounters. While we did go over double odds for the second member of our DTQ, I'm just glad we didn't phase on an Abra because there's no way I would've caught that thing first ball.

You can choose to hunt Makuhita in either the first room or the last like I did. The odds are still 50% for both. I simply chose the last room because the area swaps Geodude for Aron which is a Pokemon I'd much rather phase on.
