Perform general maintenance, repair, sanitation and upkeep of material, equipment, and areas in the deck department. Maintain ship's metal structures by chipping, scraping, cleaning, priming, and painting. Clean, maintain, and repair the hull, decks, superstructure, cargo gear, and smoke stack.
