Bangladesh's central bank intends to increase interest rates from 8.5% to 10% to curb rising inflation. The bank is also seeking an additional $3 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund to address the issue, according to Ahsan H. Mansur, the bank's new governor, in a statement to the BBC.
