Figure Drawing with Gesture and Contour

In this video explain how I use gesture and contour in a drawing. I find that both these techniques work well together in a drawing to make a dynamic and expressive response, that also has a quality of detail and observation. Both gesture and contour are very different ways of drawing, but used together they can create a nuanced drawing. Also, I find that both techniques are very strong for observation, and so thats also an excellent aspect to develop in your work.
