Few ranged weapons perform masterfully on the Steel Path: the Cedo Shotgun, Lavos’ signature weapon, is one of them.

The Cedo sports a primary fire mod which deals 60% bonus damage per unique Status Effect on the target and an alternate fire mode which launches a glaive exploding on impact and bouncing up to 11 times.

The Glaive consumes no ammo and can inflict Heat, Toxin, Cold and Electricity Status Effects in addition to the weapons own procs.

The Alternate Fire provides a remarkable synergy with both the Cedo’s own Primary Fire and Melee Weapons with Condition Overload Builds.

Personally I got wonderful results with a Hunter Munitions build but you can also go with more “traditional” Critical/Status hybrid builds, if you prefer.

However give the Cedo’s mechanics Hunter Munitions builds are indeed very powerful since the automatic fire paired with a good Critical chance and the Multishot will ramp up the number of Slash procs very fast.

What I strongly recommend is to increase Multishot as much as possible: not only it will immensely benefit the Primary Fire (more Procs and higher chances to trigger Hunter Munitions) but it will also increase the number of Glaives shots for an avalanche of Status Effects spread over a very large area.

That’s why I do prefer to mod the Cedo with Radiation damage, even though Viral Damage is always an effect choice for Hunter Munitions/Bleed builds, since the sheer number of Radiation Proc you can spread all around will plunge enemies lines into chaos with enemies fighting each other: great crowd control tool for sure.
