Nu Udra, one of the Apex monsters in Monster Hunter wilds, hunted in the arena. This run was done with the Lance.

Lance is a decent weapon. Works well versus Nu Udra, but it is more defense oriented. As such, the damage isn't the best, but it is not too bad.

Poke it, poke the wounds a bit before popping them and when the head is down... keep poking it. It's a pretty straightforward weapon. The set is weird though due to having both Offensive Guard and Adrenaline Rush, which are not mutually exclusive skills like Heroics and Peak Performance, but their synergy is not great either. Why would you dodge when you can block with the weapon that is a giant stick with a giant shield? It's a very weird design choice.

I usually don't dislike arena sets, even though some are suboptimal, because you can find some interesting builds that you might not have thought of. The problem is some of them are so strange that one has to wonder if anyone would ever play such builds. An example of that is the LS set with Foray... that can only be activated with Poison Knives.
