UPITN 10 10 76 CONCLUDING SPEEECHES OF THE IMF CONFERENCE

(10 Oct 1976) The International Monetary Fund's conference in Manila ends. Delegates awere warned that more co-operation between rich and poor nations ins needed to avoid the ptoential of violent confrontations. Meanwhile those attending the conference were searched by Philippine police in case of weapons. IMF Managing Director, Mr. Johannes Witteveen and President of the World Bank, Mr. Robert McNamara made the concluding speeches of the conference.
