Velosolutions Pump Track in Boston- Visiting with Kids

If you're like us you have fomo over all of the insane Velosolutions pump tracks that you see from all over the world. We have one here in New England and the next closest tracks are in New York and Canada. Luckily, this one's a good one! We happened to hear about this one by chance and now we have visited several times. If you ask our oldest son where his favorite place is to ride he'll tell you "the pump track in the city" every time. Having never been to a Velosolutions pump track, previously, we were a little intimidated at first. We weren't sure if this would be a suitable place for the kids to ride. We are here to say.... TAKE YOUR KIDS! Both of our sons really enjoy it here and we've tried a range of bikes from mountain bikes to a 12" balance bike.

The pump track was part of a 5 million dollar renovation to Smith Field in Allston. The pump track has a skate park area on the back side of it, basketball courts, a street hockey rink and on the opposite side of the park there's a playground. Surrounding the whole park is a walking/biking path. Your best best for parking is street parking if you can find it, otherwise you will probably have to pay a small amount to park. There is a Trader Joe's right there if you want lunch or a snack after hours of riding. You can see Harvard Stadium from the pump track too! If you're looking for an activity to keep the kids busy for a while you can definitely do that here.
