A tale of murder in rural west Wales in 1869. Esther Davies the 21 year old new wife of a farmer was shot through a downstairs window whilst preparing supper. Her husband’s brother was suspected of her murder and brought to trial but released. Did he kill her and get away with it? Did Esther’s husband cover up her murder to protect his own brother? Was the whole thing planned even before Esther was married? Maps and illustrations are my own.
