We visited Hopewell Lake Campground for a 3-day weekend in July and WOW, were we surprised! It is a beautiful setting, nice open views, wildlife, and hiking in addition to a lake for fishing and a lovely campground. There are no frills at this one, only pit toilets, no hookups, no electric, and 31 campsites, 2 additional group sites, some first come but most reservable on Recreation.gov website. On weekends, usually Friday mornings, the campground FILLS up. If full, there is a large boondocking camping area nearby which we will show in our Part 2 video.
