We have the oddest electricity tariff in France. We share how we use a tariff tempo from EDF in France.

There are also other electricity suppliers who also offer discounted tariffs throughout the year too with 22 days of much higher costs to encourage the users to limit their usage in times of high demand.

Customers choose their supplier and which tariff they want, no one! Has to use the way we save money on electricity. Tariff tempo wouldn’t suit an all electric house, might not suit a family where the parents were not in reasonable control of energy use. It suits houses with alternative heating, solar back up, or just people who are out of work all day and can work around the high cost for the few hours they’re home after work until 10pm when the cheap rate returns.
