Visit Queenie’s Supper Club Inside the United Center

At the United Center, ALSD 2019 attendees will visit a modern take on a Midwestern classic. With its exquisite interior design and upscale, yet approachable, menu offerings, Queenie’s Supper Club & Cocktails incorporates all rituals and comforts of the traditional supper club dining experience.

Patrons enjoy a variety of fare, including staples like fried chicken, king crab legs, and a variety of steaks and chops, as well as healthier choices, vegetarian delights, and vegan offerings. Craft cocktail favorites include the Brandy Old-Fashioned (as opposed to the bourbon variety) and the Madhouse Manhattan. There’s also the ice cream-based Orange Whip, a mainstay known to Chicago natives and famously referenced by John Candy in The Blues Brothers.

At its center, the main dining room features a beautifully restored Steinway baby grand piano, played nightly by a rotation of local artists. Characteristic wood tones complement brown leather upholstery and warm lighting. Tastefully fun taxidermy can be found on the walls, as can photographs and totems from the life and career of Virginia “Queenie” Wirtz, wife of former Chicago Blackhawks owner/operator Arthur Wirtz.

The restaurant’s detailed fixtures and finishing make it a premium destination fit for a queen, but it also welcomes all United Center guests to make a reservation or simply walk in on event nights.
