Kardamyla is a large village on the north-northeast side of Chios, just 27 km from the town of Chios. Kardamyla is built on the site of ancient Kardamylis on the eastern slopes of the mountain Kranos. The village is characterized by its traditional architecture, narrow streets, the ballast stone streets and stone-built houses.
