Ahoy! Welcome to "Love Grub Galley”

On todays episode we are parked up in the lovely Lizard Island, James headed out for a solo snorkel as I wanted to stay aboard and whip up a batch of my “Cheesy Jalapeño Scones” The GoPro however had other ideas overheating during filming, so watch what I do to fix the missing footage…in the cutest way I know…. being creative!! This is my first ever go at putting together anything like this…so let me know what you think :)

What you’ll need:

A large bowl and something to mix with (I use my trusty wooden spoon)

2 cups plain flour
4 tsps baking powder
50g soft butter
1 tsp smoked paprika
3/4 cup grated cheese of choice (I used a tasty cheddar)
2 Tbsps chopped jalapenos
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk of choice (I use oat milk)

Place the flour, baking powder, salt and butter into your bowl, blend together using your hands (ensure these are well washed first) once you have this to a fine looking breadcrumb consistency, add grated cheese, paprika, chopped jalapenos, stir this together, then add your milk, stirring only to combine, dont over mix. Spoon out a good tablespoon at time forming ball like shapes place on lined oven tray repeat until all mixture is used.

Bake on 200C or 400F for 15 - 20 mins cook until golden brown…
Serve with butter!!!
