This week I have been continuing with clearing the overgrown laurel hedge on the Middle lake. It has been extremely cold over the last week causing most of the ponds to freeze over, but it had just warmed up causing it to thaw rapidly, so unfortunately the weather was not the best.
The laurel branches were cut back to the hedge line, they were then cut into manageable size pieces and stacked to dry, I will burn these in the future.
Due too the rain I did have to cut the day short, I was planning to continue the next day but the weather was even worse. Hopefully the next section will go quicker as the shallow pond section is dry.
