STORYLINE:
Residents and foreign tourists in Pristina have been enjoying Kosovo's capital despite an ongoing heatwave.

The city's downtown was seen packed with people on Saturday as children played at water fountains to cope with the heat.

Many residents also visited the nearby Gërmia park to cool off.

In recent days, temperatures in Kosovo rose to almost 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit).

Warm air from Africa arrived in the Balkans this month, bringing extreme heat and humidity across the region.
