We Programmed our Robot to Bartend!

In this video, I show how we were able to program our ABB GoFa collaborative robot to pour beers at a charity event. We 3D printed a gripper which was designed specially to pick up a plastic cup. We also 3D printed two holsters. One to place the empty cup into in order to start the program, and one to hold the cup while the robot pours the beer. We even added a sensor to detect when a cup has been placed, which then tells the robot to run the program. With class leading speed and repeatability, the ABB GoFa was able to run this program over 250 times in one night without and problems. After showcasing the program, I give a quick demonstration on how lead through programming works. This whole process was made so simple thanks to lead through programming and the Wizard Easy Programming software that comes standard with all OmniCore controlled ABB robots.
